Two Peaks, Two Worlds — Tanzania's Ultimate Off-the-Beaten-Path Trekking Journey
For trekkers who want more than a single summit, this combined adventure pairs the volcanic wilderness of Mount Meru with the remote cultural landscape of Mount Hanang — two of Tanzania's most rewarding, least-crowded climbs in one unforgettable journey.
Begin in the Manyara Region with the challenging climb of Mount Hanang, immersing yourself in Barabaig culture as you trek from farmland to a dramatic Rift Valley summit ridge. Then head north to Arusha National Park for the ascent of Mount Meru, weaving through forest and moorland alive with wildlife before a ridge-line summit push with Kilimanjaro views. Together, these two peaks offer the complete Tanzanian trekking experience: wildlife, volcanic landscapes, cultural immersion, and genuine adventure — all away from the crowds of the northern circuit.
